That I have hope
You see
Miracles happen everyday
Happiness
Selflessness
Commitment of community
Love
Blessings of birth
Life
Contribution
All of these things give me
Hope
Hope that what I see in the news
And on rachet tv
Does not prevail over society
And that human decency
Still can rein supreme.
So
Despite the horrific
Devastating news that happens to show up every day
Let us have hope
That this world
With our 'works' in it
IS and will continue to be
A better place
