appreciation

So maybe it's me
because even when
someone says
randomly
"I appreciate you!"
my first response
is
umm...sure
as in
yeah right
whatever
disbelief
and thinking
this person is saying that
because of an agenda
and
i will not be fooled by your agenda!

maybe there is something wrong
with me
where the trust
I should have
in their words
in their actions
is not there
and this is why...
