i thought that once today came,
yesterday would be a memory.
i thought that once i opened my eyes
to this brand new day
the nightime fears would be no more.
i thought that if i pretended
not to care
i would feel again.
i thought that when you loved me
the love I had for you would expand
I think I am mistaken
