Saturday in the city with no other agenda other than food with a
friend, self care (mani/pedicure), and movies. It is just a day,
doing ordinary things, but when you do ordinary things with
extraordinary folks it just feels better.
Trust me, it does.
And I am clear that I'm gonna miss this.
But just like life, nothing lasts forever.

It is that time of year-- well every 4 years to be exact.. that time to elect an official to represent these here United States of America. I have been decidedly quiet on the topic(s) of our candidates because apparently everyone and their momma has an opinion (or 12) and some opinions are stated very loud & strong and then loud, strong and wrong for others to hear.. so I figure in these last couple of weeks/months of campaigning if you don't know who you are voting for or why your voice is imperative to be heard.. I gots nothing for ya. In the interim, enjoy a google doodle and a pic of my political nails (really midnight cami blue by essie & some 3d glitter for party time effect). This is gonna be a real nail biter for real!

It is  also the day before the weekend happiness is supposed to kick in. Good good good. Luckily all my relaxation (from trip to St. Thomas) has not worn off yet. I is in the perpetual state of ohm. Not quite all the way relaxed but relaxed enough and knowing enough that I need a new bed.
Changes at work: a colleague of mine got the managers job that JJD left. Sweet. And there are 2 folks that are leaving within days of each other. They were cool people's if nothing else. Soo this means mega changes in the way the job world works. Wonder what's next? Still no word on the AD position, but right now that is not my focus. Odd..

(in reality this is procrastination at its best as I was supposed to be organizing my home and letting go of some items of clothing...somethings went--- more on that laters)

a couple of things...

 First, I think I may have an addiction to nail polish or could be the fumes of the nail polish but I mean after I cleaned my desk of the colors I previously had here I still 'seem' to mass a few more colors here for good measure. Sad, this nail polish addiction of mine (could there be a place I go like a nail polish anonymous group or something??)

Second- I am soooooo happy that I got this color here Rainbow Connection by O.P.I in celebration of the Muppet movie coming out this fall (November 23?)- This color is a Limited Edition meaning once it is sold out it is sold out (along with the snazzy red color I had on last week which was getting ms piggy with it).   I mean who does not love the Muppet's? who does not love the song rainbow connection sung by the lovable Kermit the frog? who doesn't love Jim Henson- genius of his time/ creator of these creatures and who does not love the color green??

Anywho... I am just saying...

today it is my "there's no place like home" nails... sparkly shiny & red.

the color is actually from O.P.I called 'getting ms. piggy with it' a featured collection in anticipation of the upcoming new Muppet Movie *out this Thanksgiving*. They have other colors like rainbow connection & something about gonzo but all this ms. piggy diva red speaks to me (let alone that that pig character alone spoke to me all my childhood & beyond years- she has a divine swine power)

anywho, since the other mani was chipping, I decided to cover it up with this red joint.

A little snazzy for a friday at work but oh well.

New nails (got a mani & pedi over the weekend)  and thinking coffee- today I used one of the K-cup packs that appear on my desk...
thoughts?
why doesn't nail polish last longer than 2-3 days tops-- I mean no matter what you do (unless you have on some fake nails and that lasts for weeks)
it is something (other than using permanent marker) I need to invest in...

Not only am I delivering the absolute best counseling services of hell...
I am giving myself a snazzy manicure as well...
