She then proceeds to point out various articles underlining these major points:
- it is hard to find a decent straight god fearing man in this world
- it is hard to have a truly committed relationship in this time
- that i should look outside the box is the norm (like internet dating/ other various online sites)
- and it it increasingly harder as you get either up there in age/education/ economic status or weight (i just threw that in there on good measure)
it it true?
do i have to have a certain quality of 'lesser' to be good enough to get a man?
do i have to sacrifice my intelligence or my thirst for adventure in the most non adventurous ways or my youth or comfortability or my witty banter-self reliant (to a point)- accomplishments to snag said dude in this world?
i am thoroughly confused by this.
fast forward to this site this ingenious woman set up called '52weeks'... she is putting it all out there big time- with a time limit on how long she is giving herself to find someone (lover? companion?? beau? paramour!)
i don't know ... but at what point does one cut their losses? settles for this ___ ...this life, or existence rather... cut and run? i dunno.

Oh Nata!
First off, you have such a way with words...you really need to be published in Oprah's magazine!
Second off, I've been seeing Steve Harvey doing the media rounds about his best selling book and at first, I was like "STEVE HARVEY?"
He said two things that really stood out in my mind:
1) "This book could have been 20 pages long because men are just THAT SIMPLE" Oh, and they are!!!
2) Another blogger had this written up on their site and I'm copying and pasting. He talks about how women set the bar of expectations TOO LOW: “It’s real simple: we’re either playing with you, or we’re planning with you. We’re only doing one of two things. You want a guy that has a plan for you. If you know you want a serious relationship, you have to state that up front. Or it will run him off. If he goes away, he was only there to play in the beginning. The guy that has something in his head is going to stick around and see how high the bar is and how high he’s gotta climb to get to you. See, too many women got their fence only this high (visually depicts low fence). Lots of guys stepping in their yard…playing in their yard. Messing up your flowers, digging holes…”
So, in conclusion, build your fence high Ms Bean...you are WORTH it and a man better do some climbing, jumping, planning, etc... to be able to get into your yard because a woman like you deserves that and a whole lot more.
WOW... thank you soo much.. I have to keep remembering...
